Production

Producing the Music Video for Empty Highways was a struggle in many ways, and really pushed me as a filmmaker.

Since the song has such a beautiful story, we wanted to carry that into the music video. Working alongside Nate, we wrote a script that we felt captured the story, and enhanced the themes portrayed in the song. Our actor, Erin, was absolutely incredible, and help us tell this story exactly the way we saw it.

Working with an incredibly limited budget, we had a very small crew, mostly made up of me and Antique Loft, and other friends. We had very limited funds for gear as well. To counter this issue, we filmed mainly in the evening, when the light was soft and colorful, and extremely planned out shots at night.
